About the Role

We’re building a real-time interaction platform where users can connect, collaborate, and experience things together (shared state, co-browsing, live interactions).

We’ve already launched V1 and are now focused on scaling the product, improving performance, and building advanced real-time features.

What You’ll Work On

• Build and scale backend systems for real-time interactions
• Improve latency, performance, and reliability of live features
• Design APIs and event-driven systems for sync and messaging
• Work on shared state, real-time collaboration, and system scalability
• Own deployments, infrastructure, and production debugging
• Help shape technical direction as the product evolves

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js / JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with authentication (OAuth, JWT, Firebase Auth).
• Familiarity with async/event-driven systems (WebSockets, queues, pub/sub, etc.)
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with AWS and deployments
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience building and shipping production systems
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems (chat, gaming, collaboration tools)
• Familiarity with WebSockets, Socket.io, or WebRTC
• Experience with Redis, caching, or message queues
