Lead Frontend Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to own the architecture, development, and quality of our web applications. You’ll be responsible for building fast, scalable, and user-friendly interfaces while setting frontend standards and mentoring other engineers.

This role is hands-on and strategic — you’ll write production code, make technical decisions, and work closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Own the frontend architecture and technical roadmap
• Define and enforce coding standards, performance, and best practices
• Lead code reviews and mentor frontend engineers
• Make decisions on frameworks, libraries, and tooling

Development

• Build and maintain high-quality web applications
• Translate designs and product requirements into clean, performant UI
• Implement responsive, accessible, and cross-browser experiences
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and usability

Collaboration

• Work closely with:
• Product managers to shape requirements and delivery
• Designers to ensure pixel-perfect UI and great UX
• Backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, and performance
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions

Quality & Delivery

• Ensure frontend code is:
• Testable
• Maintainable
• Well-documented
• Own frontend release processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor performance, bugs, and user feedback

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Extensive experience with React.js (or similar modern frameworks)
• Solid understanding of:
• HTML5, CSS3, modern layout systems
• State management (Redux, Zustand, React Query, etc.)
• REST APIs and async data handling
• Experience building and maintaining production web apps
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern build tools
