Paytm Travel is one of the fastest-growing verticals within Paytm, offering Flights, Trains, Hotels, and Bus bookings. Operating like a high-growth startup within Paytm, the team comprises Product, Engineering, Business, and Customer Experience functions, focused on building a category-leading travel platform in India.

This is an opportunity to work in a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end business ownership.

About role

We are looking for a Senior Growth Leader to own and drive the end-to-end growth charter for Paytm Travel. This role will lead user acquisition, retention, monetization, and category growth, while building scalable growth engines across channels.

You will operate at the intersection of Product, Data, Marketing, and Business Strategy, with full ownership of growth metrics and P&L impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy & Leadership

Define and drive the overall growth roadmap for Travel across Flights, Trains, Bus, and Hotels.

Own key business metrics: GMV, CAC, LTV, Retention, and Revenue Growth.

Lead and mentor a cross-functional team spanning performance marketing, CRM, and analytics.

Partner with leadership to define long-term category and GTM strategies.

  • Performance Marketing & User Acquisition

Own and scale multi-channel acquisition strategy (Google, Meta, Affiliates, OEMs, Partnerships).

Optimize large-scale marketing budgets with a strong focus on ROI/ROAS and CAC efficiency.

Drive advanced attribution modeling and channel mix optimization.

Build and scale growth frameworks for sustainable acquisition.

  • Retention, Lifecycle & Monetization

Design and lead Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) strategy across channels (Push, Email, SMS, WhatsApp).

Drive repeat bookings, cross-sell, and upsell strategies across travel categories.

Build scalable loyalty programs, referral engines, and engagement loops.

Improve LTV through personalization and segmentation strategies.

  • Product-Led Growth

Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to embed growth into product experiences.

Identify and scale product growth levers such as pricing experiments, UX improvements, and conversion optimization.

Lead high-impact A/B experimentation roadmap across funnels.

Drive innovation in growth loops, gamification, and viral mechanics.

  • Data, Analytics & Insights

Establish a strong data-driven growth culture.

Oversee deep-dive analyses on

User cohorts & retention curves

Funnel conversion metrics

Behavioral segmentation

Leverage tools like SQL, Python, and BI platforms to drive decision-making.

Translate data into actionable growth strategies and business insights.

  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy

Track and benchmark against competitors like

MakeMyTrip

EaseMyTrip

Identify pricing, supply, and GTM opportunities to maintain competitive advantage.

Drive strategic initiatives to capture market share and category leadership.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

Experience: 12+ years in Growth, Performance Marketing, Product Growth, or Digital Business roles (preferably in Travel, E-commerce, or Consumer Tech).

Education: MBA or equivalent from a premier institution preferred.

Leadership: Proven experience managing high-performing growth teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Analytical Expertise: Strong command over data analysis, with hands-on experience in SQL, Excel, and/or Python.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business problems into scalable growth strategies.

Execution Excellence: Demonstrated track record of driving measurable business impact at scale.

Domain Understanding: Strong understanding of OTA ecosystem, pricing dynamics, and user behavior in travel.
