Job Title: Java Backend Engineer – Microservices & AWS

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in microservices architecture and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in building scalable, high-availability applications using modern backend technologies and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST-based APIs
• Design and implement scalable microservices architecture using domain-driven design and event-driven patterns
• Work extensively with JSON data formats for API integrations
• Build and deploy applications on AWS cloud services
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (ROSA preferred)
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins
• Design and develop highly available, real-time applications
• Perform data modeling for microservices-based systems
• Integrate and work with GDS APIs and understand travel domain processes
• Drive engineering best practices including code quality, automation-first mindset, and test-driven development (TDD)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and decision-making
