Product Manager- Hybrid Rice
Division : Marketing and Development
Location : Hyderabad
Designation : Product Manager (Hybrid Rice)
Experience : 5 to 10 yrs. experience in sales and marketing in a reputed MNC/ Indian Seed Company or Agri Input Sector, experience in channel development, institutional sales, and business development of seeds/Agri-inputs
Role
- Coordination between Cross Functional teams to achieve target volume, Value and Gross Margins for respective crop.
- Preparing mid-term and long-term Business plan with help of Business Head.
- End to end planning of seeds availability
- Budget preparation Zone wise, region wise ASP preparation for respective crop
- Spear heading all the marketing initiatives for respective crop
- Market mapping, segmentation, designing of marketing campaigns, defining product positioning strategy and PLC
Educational qualifications
- B.Sc. Ag, M.Sc. Ag from a reputed institute
- MBA Marketing will be preferred from a reputed institute will be added advantage

Key responsibilities
- Coordinating cross functional team: Working as an integrator with the concern departments and driving-
- Production planning: Helping team in scheduling production in a way to make the products available as per the business requirement
- Product Evaluation and Development: Market mapping, segmentation, giving a directional input about why, how, where, against which product trials need to be conducted
- Research and development: GAP analysis
- Building mid-term and long-term Business Strategy
- 2.1 Conducting brain storming sessions with senior leadership team, taking their alignment in building a mid-term and long-term Business Strategy
- Ensuring End to End availability of the seeds as per business plan
- 3.1 Reviewing FS readiness before the season
- 3.2 Ensuring timely designing, clearance and availability of the Packing Material
- 3.3 Timely review of the Carry Forward Stocks, Fresh Seed Arrival and designing optimum utilisation processing lines
- 3.4 Real time availability and dispatches status sharing with the sales team
- Spear heading all the marketing initiatives
- 4.1 Designing complete marketing strategy for the products
- 4.2 Designing Digital and Social Media Campaigns to reach Channel/ Farmers in more effective ways
- 4.3 Campaign management and spend analysis for optimising the marketing mix
- 5.Budget Tracking
- 5.1 Budget Review: Monthly review of Sales vs Budget numbers and the expenses vs allocated budget, for timely intervention
- 5.5 Driving volumes along with the Gross Margin and Profit and Loss account for FC
- Developing product strategy (PLC) based on the merit of the product
- Go to Market Strategy
6.1 Guiding team to develop one pager Activity and Demand Generation document with time lines for needful adherence, reviews and follow ups
6.2 Designing product campaigns, marketing mix, Digital campaigns and social media for promoting products
6.3 Training and Enablement- Building a process of Training Calendar for needful training (Agronomical, Product related)
6.4Developing process of checking and reviewing and adhering to the Subeej Kisan Strategy
- Market Acumen/ Intelligence
- Collecting market wisdom (i.e., Market Size, Segment, Competitive landscape, Our presence, GAP analysis)
- Developing Product Positioning strategy in alignment with all the stake holders
- Dip Stick surveys for better understanding of the product standing in the market and further developing Value based pricing
