Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Backend Engineer who will be the first point of contact for our customers when they face issues such as platform downtime, operational interruptions, and software bugs. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer queries and issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve platform-related problems, including bugs and operational interruptions.
Analyze logs, monitor system health, and use debugging tools to identify root causes.
Develop any customisation requirements for customers.
Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and product, to resolve critical issues.
Document common issues, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
Proactively suggest improvements to system stability and user experience.
Provide timely updates to customers regarding issue resolution progress.
Maintain SLAs for response and resolution times.
Must-haves
2+ years of experience in backend development or technical support.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
Experience with Python and at least one database like PostgreSQL.
Experience with Linux and Docker.
Familiarity with logs, monitoring systems, and debugging techniques.
Knowledge of scripting or automation for issue resolution.
Nice to haves
Prior experience in SaaS product support or working in a startup environment.
Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment models.
Experience with Django and observability tools (Signoz, OpenTelemetry, etc.) is a plus.
