Role Summary

As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will be the technical authority for Fleano’s web experience layer , building mission-critical dashboards for fleet operators, compliance teams, and enterprise admins.

This role is ideal for engineers who have spent years building complex, data-heavy web applications and want ownership over architecture, performance, and reliability—not just feature delivery.

This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role with no people-management mandate.

This is a Founding Staff role in an early-stage company.

What You’ll Do

• Own frontend architecture for large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS dashboards.
• Design React systems that handle :
• Real-time telemetry and alerts
• Large tables, maps, charts, and filters
• Strict tenant isolation, RBAC, and feature flags
• Set standards for performance (rendering, bundle size, memory).
• Work closely with backend and platform teams on API contracts and data models.
• Drive frontend design reviews, RFCs, and long-term technical decisions.
• Raise engineering quality through testing, CI / CD, and observability.
• Be a go-to problem solver during production issues and incidents.
• Mentor senior engineers through code, architecture, and technical reasoning .

What You Bring

Experience & Background

• 8–12+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Strong track record building production React applications at scale.
• Experience working from India on products used by global customers .

Technical Depth

• Expert-level React.js and TypeScript
• State management at scale (Redux, React Query, Zustand, etc.)
• Performance tuning for large SPAs
• Secure frontend patterns (auth flows, token handling)
• Practical testing strategies (unit + integration)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure-hosted frontends
• Real-time UI (WebSockets, SignalR)
• Exposure to logistics, fleet, or IoT platforms
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
